Meine Rente – the app that funds my retirement
These terms govern the use of the app “Meine Rente” for iPhone and iPad, published by Santosh Ralph Nussholz, Rorschach, Switzerland. By purchasing, installing and using the app you agree to them.
Meine Rente is an entertainment app. It displays humorous quotes about retirement, work, everyday life, money and quitting time. The quotes are satire and entertainment – they are not financial, investment, legal or life advice and are not suitable as a basis for decisions about your own pension. The app does not manage any retirement funds and is not a financial product.
The purchase price is the price of the app. The tongue-in-cheek claim that it “funds the developer's retirement” describes what the developer intends to do with the proceeds – it creates no participation, no repayment, no consideration beyond the app's feature set, and certainly no guarantee that the developer will ever actually retire.
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app on the devices linked to your Apple ID. The app may not be resold, rented out, decompiled or modified. You may share and quote the quotes privately – any commercial use (such as printing, merchandise, your own apps or collections) requires written permission.
The app costs a one-time 1.– in the respective local currency of the App Store (e.g. USD 1, EUR 1, CHF 1; Apple may round in individual countries). It is a one-time purchase – no subscription, no in-app purchases, no follow-up costs. All future updates are included.
The purchase is handled exclusively through your Apple ID and the App Store and applies to all devices linked to that Apple ID. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under the terms of the App Store.
The app is developed with care and continuously expanded; quotes may be added, revised or removed. There is no entitlement to a specific quote, a specific number of quotes or a specific order. Features may change with updates. Purchases already made remain unaffected by changes to these terms.
The app is provided as is. Despite careful development, no guarantee can be given that it is free of errors, permanently available, or that every quote will match your sense of humour. Liability for damages arising from use of the app is – as far as legally permissible – limited to intent and gross negligence.
Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is – as far as legally permissible – Rorschach, Switzerland. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
